2023

Scottish Government

We met with the senior policy manager for neurological conditions in the Scottish Government, to discuss physiotherapy management for ME/CFS. We look forward to working together in the future.

DHSC Delivery Plan survey

An interim cross-government delivery plan on "myalgic encephalomyelitis/chronic fatigue syndrome (ME/CFS)" was published by the Department for Health & Social Care.

As well as being part of two of the working groups, we provided our comments and recommendations via their online survey

Natalie is part of a team working on "A Scoping Review of ‘Pacing’ for Management of Myalgic Encephalomyelitis/Chronic Fatigue Syndrome (ME/CFS): Lessons Learned for the Long COVID Pandemic"

Clinical advisor to pacing trial

Natalie is acting as a clinical advisor to a trial looking at using wearable technology to help people with Long Covid pace. Data collection currently in process - more details to follow

2021

Physios for ME were stakeholders for the National Institute for Health and Care Excellence (NICE) update of guidelines for ME/CFS. 

2020

Nikki was a contributor to the World Physiotherapy briefing paper on "Rehabilitation and the Vital Role of the Physiotherapist" in response to Covid
